Sylva is the county seat of Jackson County and has a population of around 3000 people .......unless you count all of the college kids from Western Carolina University and the thousands of tourist who visit our area every year! We are a quaint town nestled in the foothills between the Great Smoky Mountain National Forest and the Pisgah National Forest right off of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
